LILASH REVIEW

Lilash is a stimulant for your eyelashes that is applied at the base of your lash line (applied like liquid eyeliner). It is guaranteed to make your eyelashes stronger and healthier, which promotes the growth of it. I came across Lilash a few months ago and was instantly interested in trying it out myself, especially after seeing many good reviews about it. Actually, this is probably the first product I have seen that had purely ALL positive reviews. That is the main reason why I purchased it. I am a young female with the typical short and straight eyelashes. I always dreamed of the long curled lashes, but could only achieve that look if I wore false eyelashes. When I first started using Lilash, I couldn't really see any differences in my eyelashes. I started off using it only once a day before I went to bed because some other users claimed that they got red and puffy eyes from the product, mainly due to over usage, so I decided to take the safe route. The product promised best results at 4-6 weeks of daily use. At 4 weeks I could definitely see a difference, especially when I applied mascara. However, I felt that the results were not worth my many dollars until week 6 came along.. By this time, I was applying Lilash twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. At week 6 my eyelashes were the longest I have ever seen them. I honestly would recommend this product to anyone because it really works, you just have to be patient with it. I took some pictures of my before and after eyelashes, but have not uploaded them onto my computer yet, so look forward to my next few posts to show y'all some proof!

PROS: Does not irritate eyes, easy application, lasts a decent amount of time, comes clear and dries clear, REALLY works, tube looks good (lol)

CONS: Pricey if purchased directly from the site, especially since I am from Canada so it came out to almost $250 after taxes, shipping and duties (can be purchased on eBay for less), eyelashes don't grow to the same length all at once, but eventually does.

... to be continued!

EVERYTHING PINK!!!

Pink is one of my most favorite colours because it's really girly and cute.. I tend to buy a lot of unnecessary things just because it is pink and I know many other girls do the same thing too! Recently, I have noticed that there are soooo many different things that come in pink. I bought all pink workout equipment, tennis racket, comb, makeup kits.. and much MUCH more. Most things I have purchased are from the Breast Cancer line, which I personally think is brilliant. What an easy way to sucker girls like me into buying random things just because its pretty! And the best part is that it doesn't make me feel as guilty because part of the proceeds go towards Breast Cancer Research, which I think is a really good cause. A lot of neat things can be found on their online site. If you decide to purchase something you can input this coupon code to get a free classic pink ribbon.

FUN WITHOUT THE SUN

Since summer has already arrived, everyone wants to look HOT with that sun kissed glow. I have been battling with pale pastey skin my entire life! When I tan in the sun for some time, I usually end up sunburnt, even with a generous dose of sunscreen. I came across Jergens Natural Glow at Wal-mart and decided to give it a try. This however, is not my first experience with self tanning lotions. I have used Olay, Estee Lauder and many more before, but didn't like the smell very much. All the tanners I have used in the past have worked for me, but didn't work the way I wanted it to. Either it melted right off when I shaved my legs or stained my skin for way TOO long. Jergens natural glow is probably the most natural tanner I have ever used and the scent is bearable. Also, when the label says it gradually builds a natural tan, it means it! Instead of risking your body from skin damage and cancers, this product is an awesome substitute.

IN NEED OF SOME H2O!

Good morning blog world.. I woke up this morning feeling dry and crusty. My eyes felt sticky and red as well. Mornings like this I realize how important water is! Whenever I don't drink enough water, it leaves my skin feeling dull and flaky. Not only is your body made up of 70% water, but it helps you cleanse and detoxify it. Most importantly, it really affects the way you look on the outside and if you wanna look good, this is one very simple step, yet one of the most important for your body! Make sure you get the right amount of water daily. click HERE to calculate how much water you should be drinking today.

5 OF MY FAVOURITE TUMMY FLATTENING WORKOUTS FOR SUMMER!

The hardest area of my body to keep in shape all year round is the stomach. Here are a few exercise tips that can be done in the comfort of your own home anytime without the use of heavy machinery and such.

1. EXERCISE BALL CRUNCHES

STEP 1 - Sit on the ball and place your hands on the back of your head and walk your legs out lowering your body on to the ball until your upper back and shoulders are all that remain on top of the ball. Legs should be shoulder width apart.

STEP 2 - Lift your pelvic to straighten your lower back and tighten your buttocks and contract the abdomen muscles.

STEP 3 - Keeping your elbows pointing out to the side slowly raise the shoulders slightly being careful not to pull the neck. You should feel the crunch in the abdominals; the thighs and buttock muscles will be working too.

Step 4 - Hold the position for a moment then slowly lower the shoulders to the ball and repeat for as many times as you can perform the exercise without straining.

Rest for 30 seconds or less between sets. Do 2 or 3 sets of 12 to 15 repetitions every other day.

2. FLOOR LEG LIFTS

STEP 1 - Lie flat on the floor with your legs straight, hands to your sides or under your buttocks

STEP 2 - Lift your legs about 6 - 10 inches off the floor and hold for a few seconds

STEP 3 - Hold the position for as long as you can without straining your neck or arching your lower spine.

Repeat as many times as you can. While performing the exercises keep your abdominal muscles contracted and your lower back flat on the floor.

3. REVERSE CRUNCH

STEP 1 - Lie on your back on the floor with your hands behind your head or on the floor by your hips, with your knees bent and your feet lifted 6 inches above the ground.

STEP 2 - Slowly bring your knees toward your chest and lift your butt off the ground. Concentrate on contracting your abs, you should feel your lower abs working after a few repetitions.

STEP 3 - Slowly lower your legs to the starting position, 6 inches of the floor.

Repeat 15-30 times. Breathe out on the way up, in on the way down. Rest a few minutes and do another set. Try to do 3-4 sets.

4. V CRUNCHES

STEP 1 - Using a chair, sit on the edge of the seat with your arms straight down to the side and holding the seat. Keeping the back straight, lean the body back so it is at a 45 degree angle (like the first line of a ‘V’)

STEP 2 - Contract the abdomen muscles and lift the legs up toward the chest to make the knees form the second line of the V.

This abs exercise works the lower abs. Keep your back straight with no arching of your lower back when lifting the legs.

5. OBLIQUE CRUNCH

STEP 1 - Lie on your back, knees bent, so your left foot is resting flat on the floor. With your right knee bent, place your right foot across your left knee.

STEP 2
- Place your left hand at the side of your head and your right hand on the left side of your abdominals or on the floor next to your thigh.

STEP 3 - Curl your body up with a twisting movement, bringing your left shoulder toward your right knee. Slowly lower your body to the ground.

Repeat 15-30 times. Breathe out on the way up, in on the way down. Rest a few minutes and do another set. Try to do 3-4 sets.

ABERCROMBIE & FITCH HAS CHANGED!

I have been a fan of Abercrombie clothing for quite some time now. However, for the past few months I have noticed that the quality and the material of the clothes have been a little different. Also, the sizing wasn't the same. I am a petite female and I usually wear the smallest sizes. One specific reason why I purchase things from this brand is because the clothing fits me the way I like it, especially the shorts. Just last week I purchased 2 pairs of shorts. One was denim and the other were khakis. I was hesitant to buy the denim ones because I noticed how thin the fabric was compared to the old ones I had. The quality felt so cheap and thin, almost like a piece of paper. In addition to that, the shorts stretched out to the point where my crotch was slightly exposed. Sadly, I went to return the shorts today. Hopefully, I will be able to find some new shorts!

MY VERY FIRST BLOG!!

So... It is exactly 5 in the morning right now and I just created a blog. I've been wanting to create my own website for awhile now, but decided to start my own blog first to see how it goes. I am completely new to this, however, I am EXTREMELY excited to personally design it and make it my own! I guess my first blog isn't that exciting, but prepare to be amazed :)
